I got engaged in August 2015 from then on the hunt for the perfect location started. My fiance and I knew we wanted to get married in the city, but still have a rustic small town feel. We have always been in love with the Heights and we’re in the area because we’re looking at another location. On the way home we passed a lovely Church “That looks like my Church back home” my husband said. As soon as I got home I researched the church & we set up an appointment up with Pastor Collin. Right from the start we felt welcomed & at home. With that being said we became members a week before our wedding. We love coming to church at Grace It is a lovely place to start and raise a family.
Eric and I were recently married at Grace United Methodist Church in June of 2017. The church provided the perfect setting for our 130 guests with beautiful wooden ceilings and stained glass windows. Additionally, the center aisle was a lovely entrance for my family and me. We are so grateful to Rev. Taylor, Corbin Young (organist), Maria Garza (florist) and all the staff for the assistance they provided during the process. Rev. Taylor met with us to discuss our marriage in a relaxed, but meaningful way and Corbin Young provided invaluable advice on music selections and ambiance for the day. Maria Garza with Atha’s Flowers arranged such wonderful floral displays and it was such a convenience that she already had a relationship with the church. I couldn’t be more please with my experience with Grace!
I got married at Grace United Methodist in the Heights in June 2017. It was a beautiful ceremony. The church has beautiful stained glass windows and they were willing to adjust the lighting to give us the intimate look we wanted. Rev. Taylor did a wonderful job of officiating. We integrated some elements from Indian culture in our wedding and he was so welcoming and open to this and did it beautifully and smoothly. One of the wonderful things about getting married at Grace is how wonderful the church staff is. When you’re planning a wedding, it’s so helpful to have responsive, competent, organized partners. I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Grace. Bethany, the church secretary, was responsive, flexible, and accommodating to any questions and changes that I had. Savannah is the wedding coordinator and she did an amazing job of helping my blended family navigate the rehearsal to produce a beautiful, smooth wedding day. She also is a fountain of knowledge about all things wedding—she saved me a huge headaches when she was able to come up with a rehearsal dinner spot when my original one fell through.
