Greetings all in the name of Christ!
With a new month, we start a new sermon series! This week in worship, we will begin, “Love like Jesus.” Throughout Jesus’ ministry, he gave us radical examples of how to love others. On a number of occasions, Jesus went way out of his way (sometimes seriously inconveniencing The Disciples and many other followers) just to show one person that she was loved deeply by God. On many occasions, this proved to be a life-changing encounter for the people Jesus sought out. Over the next six Sundays, we’ll examine a number of occasions when intentionally went above and beyond to show the least, last, lost and lonely that they haven’t been forgotten, and that they are important to God. We’ll look at these stories and then examine our own situations and ask aloud, “How can we love like Jesus?”
This Sunday, we will begin that series by looking at John 4:1-26. If you have time between now and Sunday, I invite you to read over that passage a few times and see what it says to you. Then, of course, we’ll look at it from a few different angles in worship.
I hope to see you this Sunday in the WE’RE ALL SAMARITANS place.
