Greetings all in the name of Christ!
This week in worship, we will continue our newest sermon series "Confronting Anger". Last week, Mary Gossett shared what exactly anger is. This week, we will review and then build on that definition as we examine what the Bible says about anger. It turns out that the Bible mentions anger quite a lot! So rather than looking at lots of different texts and verses, we’ll try to incorporate what God said about us when He created us. We’ll look at the creation story and discuss what God intended on the sixth day in creation when he pronounced all that he’d created that day was not just good but, “very good.” If all of sixth day creations were very good, did that include anger?
Also, don’t forget this week we will be hosting the Rev. Mike Tyson at a covered dish luncheon on Sunday right after church! His topic will be a new potential leadership model at Grace called, “The One Board Model.” Instead of having many committees and boards contribute to the leadership of Grace, we might look at having just a single board. Crazy? Maybe not!
I really want to have lots of folks present so be sure to make room in your busy calendar to have lunch at the church and be sure to bring your best-covered dish so that all have plenty to eat!
See you in the ANGER ISN’T BAD place!
