Greetings all in the name of Christ!
This week is going to be a bittersweet one for me as we conclude our Toy Story sermon series. We have listened to music, learned about some techniques used to make the movies, and picked up on lessons learned by Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the gang. This week, we’ll look at the final installment of the Toy Story franchise by examining Toy Story 4. If you haven’t seen it, I believe it is still in some theaters so please go see it! It is a great film and probably my second favorite of the four movies. I promise you will enjoy it!
Looking forward to coming months, we have a few new sermons series about which I am very excited. Starting on Sunday, September 22 we’ll begin “Jesus Said What?” We spent time over the summer discussing how Jesus time and again endorsed and exhibited radical love. That has been a major theme of my sermons – Love like Jesus! However, Jesus wasn’t always roses and rainbows. Sometimes His words were harsher than we might like. Perhaps because we feel like he is speaking directly to us. We’ll spend three weeks looking at some of the instances during which Jesus seems to have shown the sharper side of his personality.
I hope to see you in the GRACE ABOUND place this Sunday.
